BERLIN TOURIST INFORMATION

Berlin Tourist Information - The Tourist Information Centres provide up-to-date information on the city of Berlin as well as booking accommodation, reserving theatre tickets and tours, they also sell public transport tickets including the Berlin Welcome Card. You can also buy Guide Books and souvenirs and pick up leaflets and pamphlets on various tourist attractions and events. Be sure and ask them about show, opera and concert programmes during the time you will be in Berlin and also the dates of sporting events you might be interested in.

 
Travel Guide
 

The Berlin Welcome Card gives you free travel on all buses and trains in Berlin for one adult and up to three children for either forty-eight or seventy-two hours. The Welcome Card includes coupons, which give discounts on over 120 attractions. The three-day museum pass allows you to visit over seventy museums and collections on three consecutive opening days. The cost of a 48 hours Welcome Card is about €16-20 and for 72 hours the card is about €25. You can get them in any Tourist Office or you can buy them online.

Another service provided by the Berlin Tourist Offices is to sell half price ticket for certain events on the day of the performance if they are available - including for the Staatsoper (See Section in this Guide on Theatres).
